A plant of tropical and subtropical areas, growing at low to medium elevations Succeeds in full sun to partial shade Prefers a fertile, moist but well-drained soil.

Seed and CuttingsHarvesting:
It reproduces by seed, previously immersed in water for two days, in draining organic loam maintained humid at the temperature of 24-26 °C, with germination times of 1-2 months; it propagates also by cutting with bottom heat in spring.
