Therapies with divine powers (Daivavyapasraya chikitsa)
Rational treatment with medicines (Yukti vyapasraya chikitsa)
Preventive and remedial measures by Psychotherapy (Satwavajaya chikitsa)
The rational Ayurveda treatment is carried out in four parts. These are

Dosha pacifying therapy (Samsamana) is advised when the morbidity of Dosha is minimum.
Bio-cleansing therapy (Samsodhana or Panchakarma) should be selected when morbidity of Dosha is severe or maximum, which can not be subsided by Samshamana therapy.
Avoiding causative factors (Nidana Parivarjana)
Dietetics (Pathya Vyavastha). The type of therapy to be given to a patient is decided keeping in view the severity of the disease and the general condition of the patient.
