Dr. U. Krishna Muniyal Memorial Trust (R) is known for its healing touch as it firmly believes on the fundamentals of Ayurveda and applies it for the betterment of mankind. Muniyal Ayurveda Hospital is a 150 bedded, super-speciality hospital located at Manipal, consisting of multiple facilities to provide lifestyle management in an Ayurvedic way under one roof.

It is full-fledged Panchakarma Therapy Rooms, Yoga and Meditation hall, Pyramid Thepaty, Labour Theatre, and Facilities for traditional therapies.

Dr. M. Vijayabhanu Shetty, founded the Dr. U. Krishna Muniyal Memorial Trust (R) in the name of his father, Late Dr. U. Krishna, a freedom fighter who had practiced Ayurveda in Muniyal for forty years. Dr. M. Vijayabhanu Shetty, Managing Trustee, and the brain behind the Trust, started his career, with degrees in Ayurveda (BSAM & BAMS from Bangalore University), as a medical practitioner. Dr. Shetty started manufacturing and marketing ayurvedic medicines in 1985. His research products for diabetes, alcoholism, arthritis, cardiac problems, bronchitis, uterine & liver disorders, amoebiasis & obesity have proved to be very effective. He has presented papers on his products in many a seminars and conferences. Many articles have been published about his products and his organisation in leading newspapers and magazines of the country.

Dr. M. Vijayabhanu Shetty: The brain behind Muniyal Ayurveda, he started his career, with degrees in ayurveda, as a medical practitioner. His father Late Dr. U. Krishna Muniyal, an ayurvedic practitioner for over 40 years, established the firm in 1939. Dr. M. V. Shetty started researching and manufacturing ayurvedic medicines in the year 1985. He has presented several papers in International Ayurveda seminars, and has also authored many books on Ayurveda and Buddhism.

Dr. M. Aravind Shetty: Leading General Practitioner for the last 40 years in the United Kingdom. He established Carmyle Medical Centre at Mount Vernon, Glasgow, Scotland, in 1985.

Mr. A. R. Hegde: Mr. Hegde started his career as a pharmacist and rose to the post of Managing Director of Astra IDL. He has an excellent track record of serving many multinational and reputed Indian companies like Hoechst (General Manager, Production), Max Pharma (Vice-President), Colgate-Palmolive (Director, Operations) & Searle India (Vice-President).

Mr. Chiranjith Ajila: An agriculturist with a law degree. He is successfully running a food industry, having keen interest in cultivation of herbal plants by applying organic farming methods and implementing scientific methods of farming.

Mrs. Hemalatha V.Shetty: An economics & statistics graduate, she is in-charge of medicinal plantations, food park & neutraceuticals division.

Dr. Jeevan Krishna Shetty, MRCP (Glasgow, UK): A cancer specialist, working as an associate director in US-based cancer research company ‘Cell Gene’.

Dr. Shraddha Shetty: A BAMS graduate with a Masters Degree in Rasa Shastra, also having a PG Diploma in Clinical Research from Manipal University. She is an MBA graduate from Nottingham University, UK. She is currently in charge of Bengaluru operations.

Ms. Shloka Shetty: A bio-tech engineer with a Masters Degree in Bio-Technology from California State University, USA. Currently working as a Scientist at Roche, USA.
