Ksheera Dhara
Instead of the usual oil concoction used in other Ayurvedic treatments, the Ksheeradhara treatment uses a continuous flow of herbal milk over the head and body. Ksheeradhara is similar to Shirodhara, but it has a cooling impact on the body and is advised during the summer months or in situations where you need to relax or cool down.
The herbal milk that is poured on your body functions as a moisturizer, reducing stress, anxiety, and tension; it is also used to care for your skin and hair. The Ksheeradhara treatment works wonders for patients suffering from Vata and Pitta dominance, migraines, stress, and insomnia. The simple yet effective method is ideal for patients suffering from Vata and Pitta dominance, migraines, stress, and insomnia.
Process of Ksheeradhara treatment
The Ksheeradhara process takes forty minutes and takes place over seven to twenty-one days, depending on the clients mental and physical state. The milk is used in two main Ksheeradhara therapies, Sarvangadhara and Shirodhara, and contains numerous botanical extracts.
Sarvangadhara entails coating the entire body with milk, with the exception of the head. The Shirodhara treatment, on the other hand, is exclusively applied to the head. The milk is warmed to a mild temperature before being poured into a dhara vase. The liquid is then allowed to drip onto the forehead from the vessel. The milk is poured in a steady stream across the forehead, concentrating on the glabellar area. The herbal milk is poured in a steady stream for Sarvangadhara throughout the day.
