Njavara Kizhi

Njavarakizhi is an Ayurvedic massage that involves the use of Njavara (Shashtika Shali) or cooked rice mixed with milk and Kurumthotti (Sida Rhombifolia) herbal extract knotted in cotton boluses called Kizhis. To induce sudation, the Kizhis will be soaked in medicated Ayurvedic oils and applied all over the body or to a specific portion of the body (perspiration).
