Doctors:

Dr. Prashanth Jana, B.A.M.S., Int., Director. He has received his Ayurveda medical degree from the Bangalore University in 1992. He then successfully completed a Course in Emergency Medicine at the Bangalore University. He began his influential career in private clinical practice in Integrative Medicine in 1992, and served as medical director of the Ashwini Clinic at Bangalore. Recognized as an authority in the effective and appropriate use of integrative medicine and Ayurveda practices, he has vast experience in curing various diseases. Dr. Prashanth has developed effective Non surgical treatment methods for Kidney stones, Gallbladder stone, Diabetes Mellitus, Hypertension etc. He performs para-surgical procedures based on Ayurveda principles and is an expert in chronic wound and diabetic wound management. Dr.Prashanth’s endeavors have resulted in the training of many physicians, therapists, and health care providers. His passion in hospitality and his vast experience in different countries along with his rich clinical knowledge has resulted in establishing Ayurveda Sanctuary. he is the proprietor of Vaidyar’s ayurveda.


Dr. Pradeep Kumar, B.A.M.S., is born in a family of traditional healers. He graduated from SDM College of Ayurveda, Udupi in the year 1994. He worked as a trainee physician at the world renowned Arya Vaidya Sala, Kottakal, Kerala for two years before starting his private practice in Puttur town in 1997. A very eminent and enterprising physician, Dr. Pradeep Kumar has been pioneering new treatment modalities, which has provided him a roaring practice and unmatched success.

He is the Member Secretary of Institution Ethics Committee, Institute of Applied Dermatology, Kasargod, Kerala.

He is the FounderMember, Steering Committee: FERCI (Forum for Ethics Review Committee in India), Ansari Nagar, New Delhi.
Dr. Pradeep Kumar is the chief physician at Vaidyar’s Ayurveda Hospital & Research Center.


Ms. Kusuma, B.Sc. Yogic Sciences. graduated from SVYASA (Swami Vivekananda Yoga Anusandana Samsthana), Bangalore in 2013, and since then she is involved in teaching Yoga. Her quest in promoting Yoga has taken her to various places from Mangalore to Pondicherry. Her passion for Yoga and her friendly attitude has been much appreciated by the guests of Vaidyars.


Dr. Nischitha, B.A.M.S. A very good academic record along with dedication and passion in Ayurveda, makes Dr. Nischitha the ideal Physician. She has graduated from S.D.M. College of Ayurveda, Udupi and is now the duty-doctor at Vaidyars.

he three classical therapeutic modes advocated by Ayurveda are

Therapies with divine powers (Daivavyapasraya chikitsa)
Rational treatment with medicines (Yukti vyapasraya chikitsa)
Preventive and remedial measures by Psychotherapy (Satwavajaya chikitsa)
The rational Ayurveda treatment is carried out in four parts. These are

Dosha pacifying therapy (Samsamana) is advised when the morbidity of Dosha is minimum. 
Bio-cleansing therapy (Samsodhana or Panchakarma) should be selected when morbidity of Dosha is severe or maximum, which can not be subsided by Samshamana therapy. 
Avoiding causative factors (Nidana Parivarjana)
Dietetics (Pathya Vyavastha). The type of therapy to be given to a patient is decided keeping in view the severity of the disease and the general condition of the patient.
